That's a brilliant start, I'm glad you got your prescription and have done the first shot,
All sounds positive already, I hope it is the start of a good year for you

Happy New Year Thumb

Well, it's a very good start from a medical standpoint.

My Ohio State Buckeyes (American college football) got humiliated and shut out in the semifinals.  Total embarrassment.   So 2017 is off to a horrid start in the sports department.

I'll take the early Humira victory over the football game any day of the week.

Side effect...maybe.

Day 2, briefly nauseous/slightly dizzy this morning.  Took an hour nap that seems to have cured it.  Didn't like that at all, even though it wasn't that bad, and I hope that's only a one time deal.

Humira used to give me some flu like feelings for a few days after the shot but I wasn't on it long. I did find with all the bio's it take s a little while for your body to adjust and it should pass.

Almost 6 weeks into my Rx for Humira at this point. My injection is every other week, and have my 4th overall coming up this Saturday.

Psoriatic arthritis remains very well under control.  I am thrilled with this at this point, as that was the hardest aspect to deal with.  I'd say I'm at 80-90% here.

The psoriasis -- overall, it is significantly better, without a doubt.  There seems to be some ebb and flow characteristics with it, as it appears to make slight resurgences here and there, but the key word is slight.  It remains better than before I started the drug, even when it tries to flare up a little.  The plaques are far less scaly, but the overall sizes remain unchanged.  When I was on Otezla, the sizes decreased.

Side effects - no more nausea/dizziness.  It was just a one time deal, and I'm not even certain it was from the drug.  It only lasted a couple of hours.

I was worried about the compromised immune system, but so far so good.  Then again, cold and flu season here in the States has not been very severe at all, so I'm sure that has helped.

Hope everyone is well.

That's great news Northcoast for your arthritis to be as good, I'm not surprised you are thrilled . And the Psoriasis as well although it's up and down being noticeably better is great and the side effects have gone
I look forward to your next update, it's always good to hear that it's working. Thumb
