Hi Craig,

Welcome to Psoriasis club.

Indeed the speedy stuff are the biologicals. Most of the other solutions are from the slow side.
Don't forget to check out on the very special approach of our own Australian Bill. He is doing his own thing and is very good at it.

Have fun on the forum and perhaps I will see you in the bar.  Wave

Hi Craig,

Good on you and good luck with the acitretin. I'm bugger all help with almost all psoriasis treatments as I was too scared to take methotrexate. Now just shy of five years of self-treatment with really good and persistent results, but I am still searching for something to boost the lymphocyte count so I can take a bit more DMF and better control the arthritis. Echinacea (pallida and angustifolia, as these species may help T cell proliferation) and Astragalus are next on my list of things to try.

Lots of kind and helpful people here and plenty to keep you entertained.

Cheers

Hello, Bill and thanks for the welcome. I understand your concerns with Methotrexate it worked for me initially but I found the side effects a bit much and became non-compliant which resulted in some pretty major flare-ups. I'm glad to be trying something else now that doesn't involve injecting myself with a cytotoxic syrup once a week. I'm not sure I would have the courage to embark on a journey like yours but congratulations on your determination and results.

Hey Craig

Welcome to the club  Wave

You will have a great time on here, lots of very knowledgeable and friendly people who offer some excellent advice based on their own experiences......... you will mainly find me in the Psoriasis Club bar, swigging gin!!!  So anything you need to know about gin, I'm your girl  Wink

On a more sensible note, I have not long finished 3 months of UVB treatment and I was given acitretin alongside that too, so just waiting (and hoping) that everything will be kept at bay, like you though, so far so good!

Welcome again...

Wooley  Smile

Thank for the welcome Wooley, curiously enough I picked up a bottle of  Bombay Sapphire on the way home and I'm having a G&T while I'm cooking dinner on the BBQ.
