Week 18 jab done and was painless however lead up to jab a few spots of p coming up nothing to worry about but it’s been about 2 weeks since the jab and still not improving. Stable but noticing a lot more small spots so not as 100% clear as I was on humira when I was on that... a bit disappointed that the dose being 12 weeks apart isn’t effective as I hoped it would be. Oh well it isn’t so bad so will discuss with my dermo during my next appointment.

On the top side arthritis is so much better since my last post.

Hope everyone’s well!

Hi Spotless,

We are doing as usual, some ups some downs. Smile Which was to be expected.

Absolutely satisfying it must be that the artritis is holding off. I mean Psoriasis is nasty, certainly if it is visible, but the arthritis version, the fact that you feel your joints are inflammated is not nice at all.
Stelara is one of the best in relation to Psoriasis with the most people here on the forum. But still more medication is being developed, so if it would fail there will be more options.

Thanks for informing, we always like to know how the members are doing.

Cheers,
Caroline

Opps was my 16th week jab now on week 18 on stelara.

Being able to walk again without pain is a massive blessing! I could skip hop and jump with the excitement of not taking any more painkillers and additional drugs!

Yay!!

Nothing better than being relieved of the pain, I always put that down as my priority. I've still yet to find one that gives me a great result for both though, but like Caroline said there is more in development and better still for you there is more you could try like Cosentyx or Taltz.

But for now I would say enjoy the pain relief and give it more time, it's going in the right direction.

UPDATE: 4th Injection
Life on Stelara in comparison to Enbrel and Humira isn’t so effective for me.
P has come up since my last dose... had my Dermatology Appointment today and PASI is 7? Didn’t look properly but it’s up from PASI 0.9...
Nails are always a tell tale for me when P starts to get bad as well as scalp so these two aren’t great at the moment...
They have decided to increase my dose from 45mg to 90mg... I’m only tiny! Weighing under 50kg so was a little hesitant at first but I think it’s the best option for me for now...
On the plus side no more joint pain!!!

Spotless...

Great the joint pain is gone, a great plus
Shame that  the Psoriasis is not improving. I hope the increased dose helps and you get clearance. Thumb

It seems a bit much in view of your size to double the dose ... they could have reduced the time between injections first I would have thought .
Good luck and thanks for the update
Jim

Glad you're noticing improvement in your psoriatic arthritis. I hate to hear it's not helping with the psoriasis however (just started Stelara here)

Hopefully the increased dose will do the trick. Good luck!!!

hi spotless, hopefully the increased dose will work and good to hear the joint pain is gone! I wonder if what Jim says would also work; less time between shots?
