I have rheumatoid psoriasis, I have also had low platelet count which was put in remission with prednisone. The prednisone was horrible but “fixed” both issues (I thought) but it was temporary. Platelets are in normal range but psoriasis it out of control. Humira stopped working after year and a half, stellara never helped, after loading doses and two more shots on consentx I have now developed pustules covering the soles of my feet and palms of my hands and on my scalp.  So, my new doctor going to try embrell but while I wait for insurance approval I’m back on prednisone. Problem is prednisone makes me feel sick, raging angry, messed up dreams and as you can infer from this post depressed.

Hello Annetta,

Welcome to Psoriasisclub.

I surely can imagine your feelings, sideways because of the prednisone and main ways because of the out of control of your Psoriasis.
Well one thing you can do over here is throw your emotions on the forum, we will listen and understand. And we will try to help you in a mental way.
For you it’s night now, I guess, for me morning has just begun. We have people from all over the world over here in the forum and mostly there is someone around. The Europeans are slowly waking up now, and mostly I am the first one as I am making myself ready for work.
Hope to speak to you again during the day or when for me the evening starts and your day is beginning.

Hello Annettaj  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

That is a shame the others didn't work out for you, hopefully Enbrel will work. But if not you could ask about one of the other Bios see here: Biological Treatments For Psoriasis

But for now try not to get depressed, like Caroline said you will find a friendly bunch always willing to help. We do have this thread for our members [Group Specific] if you ever need anyone.

But in any case do pop along to [Group Specific] you will find a lot going on there to help take your mind of things.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Annetta and a big psoriasis cub welcome Welcome to you I hope you will find some interesting information here about the treatments, I see fred has pointed you towards the biological treatments page, which if you look at it, it seems as if your dermatologist is trying biologicals that target different cells which is probably the right thing to do, unfortunately it is a bit hit and miss as not all drugs work the same on everybody for various reasons ......But take heart there is a drug that will work for you I'm sure and there are lots more coming along, as you will see in the newsletter  Thumb
One thing you do need to do is give a drug a fair time to start working some can work slowly so the advice I will give is be patient ( not easy ) before switching

Enjoy the club and you will see we are all very friendly and willing to share experiences and offer and take advice  Thumb So browse away and I hope to bump into you in the off topic section where I'm usually found propping up the bar

You guys don't know what a God sent this forum is to me. I work nights in the US so I will probably be more in tune with my "new European friends" thank you for making feel so welcome.

Hihi Annetta,
No Indeed we don’t know that. But it sounds like you are in the right place.  Wink
You are always welcome here. We are normal human beings, well ... eh ... normal, maybe a slight nuttyness of some members, eh, well some.. maybe a little more, never mind, you might start to think that you are in the wrong place, but that is not the case.
We really are a bunch of friendly sufferers and we try to make the best of it.

I am almost curious on what kind of job you have. Whistle
