Welcome AutumnLeaf,

You will find here kind and helpful people with experience enough to answer any question about psoriasis and its treatment. You will not find any dishonesty here as I did recently on one of the most prominent psoriasis forums. A fellow there had stolen before and after images from a dermatology practice's web site and presented them as his own, claiming that he had been to a dermatologist and tried everything from topical treatments to the latest biologic drugs, all without effect. The miraculous result was attributed to a herbal cream from India. When I alerted the moderators to the dishonesty, they did nothing. In contrast, when I alerted the forum to the dishonesty my post was rapidly removed and I was suspended from the site. What sort of help could you expect from a site that protects dishonest people and hides the exposure of dishonesty to its readers?

The only thing that might upset you here are a few of Andy's pics.

Cheers

Hello and welcome AutumnLeaf, as many before have said we are a friendly group all be slightly mad in some cases.  I cannot advise with respect to scalp psoriasis but others here have plenty of knowledge.  I will reiterate though this is a very safe place to discuss your condition so settle back, relax and again welcome to the club.

Hi Autumn Leaf,
Welcome I don't have psoriasis but my son does. This is a fantastic forum with great people and lots of information. My son had quite bad scalp psoriasis, shampoos and topicals did not help. He is a teenager and was becoming quite traumatized by his psoriasis so we quite quickly, less than a year, went from diagnosis to Stelara a biologic drug he takes by injection. He is 100% clear and we are all very happy with our decision. Could not have done it without the information and support in this forum.  I hope that you find answers and treatments that work well for you.

For our new members, that will never happen here. Bill already knows this, but I thought I would take this opportunity to point out that Psoriasis Club is very proactive against fake claims. All our members can contact me or a Staff and we encourage you to do so if you ever see posts like the one mentioned by Bill.

Hi Autumnleaf nice to meet you Wave

I have had scalp P in the past, I would probably try drying your hair gently with a cool dryer.
Also finding a shampoo that doesn’t aggravate made a big difference.

I hope that you enjoy it here!
