Half life based on taking a drug monthly would be (from the internet)
100%     0.0
50%       31 days
25%       62 days
12.5       93 days
6.2%     124 days
3.13%   155 days
This is based on a 31 day cycle. Not sure why the drug is taken monthly. So its vague

I agree Duncan your sight is not something to gamble with. Certainly give it a couple of months before resuming treatment and ask your dermatologist to refer you to an eye specialist who may be able to clarify what's happening
I would rather be covered in plaques than lose my sight
I hope stopping the treatment brings improvement to your eyes as the drug clears your system

I found sunlight effected my eyes when on Stelara and I have recently asked if others have the same problem with Tremfya Tremfya and eye sunlight sensitivity

As for how long to get it out of your system, Mata once explained the term "Half Life" I don't fully understand it to be honest but the Half Life of Taltz is 13 days. To me that means there is only half of it in your body, then it would be 6.5, then 3.25, then 1.6, or thereabouts, then .8.

So Jim's guess of around a month is just over. *But I'm no expert.
I only have vision in 1 eye. Something is seriously wrong with my vision. Not just light sensitive. I would rather be covered in scabs than not be able to see.
If it isn't Talt, I can re start treatment. Nothing lost.

Sorry Duncan I must have misunderstood. I didn't realise you only had vision in one eye.

Good luck, I hope they find the problem.

Its been 2 months since I last took Taltz. Eyes still bother me but way less. More of a strain than pain now.
Guessing I have about 25% left in my system. Got phone consultation with dermatologist on Monday. I was hoping a little longer so I knew it was out of my system and Taltz was the cause.
It only effects me when I am on the PC too long. I arnt scared anymore, which is a massive relieve.

Its a shame because my skin is still looking very good. I thought it would have started to return by now. I would get away with taking it every 2 month. Guessing that wouldn't work but just saying that by looking at my skin, it would be enough for me.

Good to know you're not scared any more and good luck with your consultation.

Re using the computer, have you tried turning down the brightness of your screen ? I found it helped me a lot.

It seems as if it might have been the taltz if they are improving Duncan . And the drug may be out of your system but may take a while for the eyes to recover
Good luck with the phone consultation Thumb
