If not, then you could try this - when I was desperate for sleep and itching through the night, I did find something that helped me but it’s greasy and messy so really only for bedtime - sudocrem, the sort that comes in a pot, or a generic product may be available - and I believe it was helpful in calming the itch because of the high zinc content (think aftersun lotion).
It helped, but it only lasted about 2 hours. Guess I am gonna have to apply it more often than that. Ah well, if it doesn't work well, then I can always use it for cooking with! I have a few recipes that ask for coconut oil.  Clap

So...when I first started this thread, I let you all know that I was changing my diet to gluten free because I had read it helps. Well, it does help...to a degree. I am not shedding skin near as much as I did before and the scaling has gone down. Not disappeared you understand, but gone down. Now all I am seeing is redness. Yes, still very angry skin that bleeds. For me, it helped. Still itch like a son of a gun tho. Coconut oil doesn't seem to help much, if at all.

Next on the list is sudocreme.

Cheers,

Wintrman.

Hope the sudocreme helps! It's good that you can get at least some relief from changing your diet.

I have gotten the gold bond for eczema creme. It has helped MINIMALLY. Only 2nd day though with this so I will give a few more days. The cremes experiment is an expensive journey. $22 here, $18 there. It's adding up.

And none of them will work for long if at all.

And  that is what I am expecting, however, I am willing to try at least until the dermatology appointment comes along and I start my new treatment.

If it's just a moisturiser you are looking for I once used a 50/50 mix of Olive and Peanut oil, it did help a little.

For now, yes. The Gold bond is reducing my flaking. I still flake, but there is less plaque visible. I still leave a trail wherever I go, its just not as bad. I never expected even that from just a moisturizer, but this one is supposed to be good for eczema. I know its a whole different ball park, but that's what the label says. Anyways, lets see where this takes me. I just wish it would help with the freaking itching!!!

Could try an Antihistamine

Or for a quick relieve of a small part a pack of frozen peas.
