Is there a specific time of day when it goes from 1 to 10?

No there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. The other day I felt like I was locking up and then after a couple of hours all was fine again.

Just took my two booster shots and realised it's one year I've been on Ilumetri, so time for an update.

I still get the odd psoriatic arthritis flare-up mostly when it's damp or at full moon, but it doesn't stay around long or get too bad, so I can say that it's doing what I wanted it to do.

Psoriatic arthritis score: I'll leave it at 2, but I'm happy.

Now for the psoriasis. The little patch on the side of my belly has completely gone, but the right shin has got worse which is a little annoying. Having said that I'm not over bothered by it and I do wonder if it's anything to do with it being the same leg where I still have the annoying ankle problem.

Psoriasis score: That's gone up from 1 to 3

Side effects: Nothing to report.

Next appointment in November, at the moment I'm thinking of going for another 6 months but that depends on what my dermatologist thinks.

All in all 1 year in and I'm happy as the psoriatic arthritis is the one I want to control and it's doing that.

That's great news that it's working for you. A little bit of psoriasis isn't a big deal as longs as the arthritis is kept in check.

Well done Fred. A bit of psoriasis is a nuisance but preferable to arthritis. May your success continue.

Cheers

Totally agreeing with Bill (and you) controlling the artritis is feeling as the most important.

Thank you all, yes a little bit of psoriasis is nothing. I could put up with a lot more if it meant being rid of the psoriatic arthritis.

I'm very happy for you that the arthritis is mostly controlled.

I think your doctor is going to be pleased that Ilumetri is working.  Is there a topical pain reliever that helps the ankle pain?

Thank you FW, no there is nothing that helps the ankle apart from plenty of Merlot or paracetamol (which I only take if it's very bad)

The problem is fluid on the ankle and rheumatology don't seem interested, probably because I've always said they are useless. Big Grin
