Wow that’s amazing - I can’t believe you can go so long. Stelara was fab for me - complete clearance and I felt good on it. But it only lasted about 18 months.. I hope it goes on for you for a lot, lot longer.

I'm happy for you, too!  Was Stelara the first biologic that you tried?

Hi Forest Walker Wave

Yes Stelera is the first Biologic I have had. I had always ran in the opposite direction of any 2nd line treatments never mind Biologics, but having a major flare and the only option was cyclosporine, then methotrexate, then fumaderm and had tried Acitretin previously the next step was a Biologic.

I did quite a bit of research on this site and I was helped by a lot of people on here and I asked for Stelera.  It worked quickly and I have not had any problems unlike with every other drug I had been prescribed prior to this.

I really should have went down that road years earlier and saved a fortune on buying Drambuie ? to try and get a sleep  Sleep.

I now do not own a cardigan, only T shirts. Before Stelera I had more long sleeve woollens than a Tweed mill.  Big Grin

Well Angie we seem to have mirrored our journey through psoriasis. Cyclosporine, then methotrexate, then fumaderm and Acitretin in a slightly different order with methotrexate being the last one before Stelara. Acitretin cost me several toe nails when they grew inward and cyclosporine was so grim I thought that I was on the way out. I have had several other weird and wonderful lotions and potions in my time but Stelara has been great. They even once had me in hospital for six weeks wrapped in tar.
Take care and I hope that for both of us it continues to work.

Angie, this site has helped me so very much, too.   Heart   I'm glad Stelara is helping you and Dave.  Long may it continue!

There has been such good advancement in treating various auto-immune diseases in the last 20 to 30 years.
