I have been contacted by someone (not a member) that it is no longer possible to read Psoriasis Club's posts on what was once known as Twitter but now just a dead bird without logging-in. I have checked it for myself and it is true.

Why am I bothered and posting this ?

#1 We have had a lot of followers on Twitter (some of you found us that way) and some still prefer reading the links I post to the forum rather than joining us here.

#2 I used to encourage our members to check out Twitter if you ever see the forum down as I will post updates there, and the best thing about it was that you could read my posts without needing an account.

#3 I did and still do post links to new threads on the public boards at Psoriasis Club as it does did bring us new members.

Obviesly there is nothing I can do about it and I will be keeping our account open, but I suggest you check out the bottom right of this page where it says "Social" I have put the official places that I post.

You will see we have 3 accounts Mastodon, PostNews and Twitter all have the same content, with the first two you don't need an account to read our posts but for the third one you now will.

I will continue to post on all three for now.

It's your choice if you want to use or follow Psoriasis Club, but I would say if you ever want to know what is going on if the forum is down or you want to know about new threads in the public boards Mastodon would be my choice as it's just like us "Independent"  Smile

*Thank you to the person that contacted me about the change on the dead bird, I wouldn't have known as I have to log-in to post.

If you are a member and follow Psoriasis Club on any of the three mentioned please let me know and I'll follow back.

Comments welcome.

Indeed I checked also, you cannot read tweets, are they still called tweets?, anymore when you are not logged in.

I follow psoriasisclub on both twitter and Mastodon, but am of course logged in.

I also have an entry on Flipboard on psoriasisclub.

That looks quite fancy

I think the Musk Bloke is intent on killing it for good. There is no point in posting if people not logged-in can't see anything. Psoriasis Club had just over 5000 followers before he took over it's now just under 4000, so we are losing people not gaining them.

He's a fool.

As for Flipboard, I set it up when we had the newsletter. They also registered Psoriasis Club as a publisher so I left it there. There is also one on Pinterest but I don't use that now.

I just checked and Psoriasis Club is following you back on Mastodon and Twitter.  Thumb

I feel bad for X and Z, no wait it's X and Y I think??

10 kids! At least 8 of them have actual names... I think.

And yes, he's an idiot.  A rich one.

Oh, I should add... I don't tweet.

I've stopped on my own account and probably will on the Psoriasis Club one, there is no point if people can't see them unless you log-in. Confused

Well I don’t think that many peope will look at twitter without logging in, that in fact makes no sense at all as you will never be able to react.
So seen from that angle, nothing should have to change.

Yes but we used to get picked up by search bots for links to Psoriasis Club from Twitter, but now the bot's will not be able to see as they are not members.

I deleted my dead bird account when the "MuskRat" took over, not that I used it much.
