Day 22
Well things are not going great. I had to take yesterday off work due to stomach issues and haven't taken a tablet since Monday. The side effects have exhausted me and made me feel very unwell. I am going to try and take them again today as my stomach has settled, but as I am due to start 4 tablets today, I am just going to continue with 3 to see if this helps or not.
Will keep posting as want to let people know how things are.

Cheryl what a shame I hope your stomach calms down and gets to a tolerable level.
Thanks for the update and yes it will let others know the problems they may encounter
Good luck and I hope you are able to stick it Bigarm

Oh that is a shame Cheryl, especially after you were noting a change.

Unfortunately not all treatments work the same for everyone, and although it's an unpleasant side effect for you I have read on Psoriasis Club that others do report it getting easier as your body adjusts to Fumaderm.

Fingers crossed it will ease Smile

Day 28

Last week was difficult, after having a terrible stomach for 2 days and not taking the tablets for 1 day, I am back on track again.

I am taking 3 tablets still, due to take 4 today. The stomach is better and the flushing, although has got worse is easy to handle.

My psoriasis is looking great. I am feeling a lot more confident with my hands on show now. I have never really worried about my elbows or legs, but the difference is unbelievable. I recommend anyone to give fumaderm a go. The side effects although not pleasant, I feel are worth it if the unsightly scaling disappears and I can feel better about myself.

I have had my bloods taken this week ready for my appointment with the dermatologist on Monday. Looking forward to who I'm seeing and what they have to say about the treatment process so far.

Thumb Great news the psoriasis is looking better Cheryl and you are noticing a difference. I am so pleased. It's a shame about the side effects all I can say is that I know they can be very unpleasant but if you are able to persevere they do get less as your body decides to accept the drug... As I have said I no longer get the cramps so hopefully they will improve for you. The flushing I get now is a lot less than at the beginning of treatment .... So I think you are at the beginning of happy times ...... Good luck

I hope your dermatologist has good news on the blood results and will be as pleased as you are with the visible changes
Thanks again for updating its always good to read about a good result shake well done

Great to hear Cheryl.

Really fantastic that with you the DMF does its work.
Indeed the flushing is no big deal. It is my experience that when you take your pills as regular as possible, it will get a bit less.
As soon as you forget the pills e.g. for one time, the next time the occurrence of a flush is higher.

The stomach... well what shall I say, I don't recognize this problem, but apparently Jim does. Always take the pills during your meals, that is the only thing I can say about it.

Well done !

Good news Cheryl! Hopefully the side effects will lessen as it seems to be worse at the start. It's great that you're getting clear!

Great stuff, Cheryl. The side effects are tough to start with, and like you I skipped a few doses when things got rough, but then become milder if you can stick with it.

Cheers,

Bill
