Hi Smile

New to the forum, thought i check it out. I have had psoriasis for a very long time now, no cream or other treatments are working for me at the moment, just wandering if anyone else is in the same boat. It sucks big time!! Any ideas or advice, would be great.

Thanks sairah x x x Smile x

Hello Sairah Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

It's very annoying when stuff just stop's working, and most of us are in the same boat. Although Caroline will tell you different. Rolleyes Are you seeing a Dermatologist? if not it would be a good idea to ask your GP to recommend you to one, as things have moved on a lot in the last few years and they can work with you to find something that helps.

Have a read through some of the threads and get the information you need before seeing your dermatologist. If all else fails you can have a good old rant on here, we don't mind. Or if you prefer pop into the [Group Specific] section I'm sure you will find something to bring a smile to your face. I'm the sensible one in there.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Sairah,

Welcome!

I'm not in a boat at all, I am the one on the forum that drives one of the motorcycles. Less problems with psoriasis, but I adore the chickens in the Off-topic section.

Yep am under the dermatology at salford royal, they are great with thier job, and finding the right treatment, I guess I havent found the right one for me. Currently started using a new cream, never used it before its called hydromol, seems to have calmed things down quite a bit. Also a pharamist told me to try doing a salt bath, that seems to be helping quite a bit, thought I put it on here, incase people wanna try it. Thanks for saying hi, its good to know that im not the only one, who is going through this.

It's difficult to find what works, and if you're like me, something works great then all of a sudden it stops working, or can actually end up making it worse. Thumbsdown

It is nice to know there are others you can talk to who understand, and you will find a friendly group of people on Psoriasis Club, so never be alone. Thumb

Yeah its get quite difficult sometimes, feels like you dont know what to do with yourself really. But we gotta keep our heads up, and hope that the right treatment is out there, we just havent found it yet, but its deffo great to talk to people who are in the same boat as you, as they know what it feels, the support around you is great, but even they know how it really feels!! Think this site is great!! X x
