Day 33

I went to see the consultant today and he is really pleased with how things are going for me. My bloods were checked - all good and I don't have to see him now for another 3 months. He didn't have much to say about the dosage and my stomach issues as they have now resolved.

I do have a question for anyone who could answer it.....

Once I have reached 6 tablets a day, what next? Do I just continue taking 6 a day until my psoriasis has cleared and then drop down slowly or do I keep taking the 6 until I see him in 3 months? I forgot to ask him when I was there!

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Cheryl
Brilliant that your bloods are good and the psoriasis is looking good
Yes I would stay on the six tablets until your next visit in three months. At that time he will probably suggest if you are clear reducing by one tablet...... But while your bloods are good there is no rush to reduce......when you do reduce do it very gradually I was on it two years before I was down to four tablets... I have only reduced to three now because my lymphocyte count went too low but it's reasonable now so I will stay on three a day as I feel uncomfortable any lower at the moment....I get the tingle under the skin that says beware the psoriasis is coming back and I hate that idea......
Well done thanks for sharing

Hi Cheryl , there is a buildup phase and a steady phase. You are now in the steady phase. This is supposed to be as long as the building phase. So take your time. After that you can slowly reduce this until the first signs of psoriasis come back again, then you go one little step up and that is then your normal dose.
Cheers
Caroline

Day 37

Well not much change to report really. I am now on 5 tablets per day, the flushing has crept back in occasionally but no more stomach problems so that's good.

My psoriasis is now better than I can ever remember it. It's not gone by any means but it has disappeared to the point I keep looking at my skin with appreciation instead of disgust. I still have patches which show but no scaling and certainly not as much red patches as before. All in all I think fumederm is a fantastic product I wish I had found along time ago.

Keep your chin up and have a great day everyone. Bigarm

Even more good news, I've only been off-line a day and I'm finding some very nice bits of good news all over the place.

Day 42

Where has all the time gone? It seems like only a few weeks ago that I started this treatment and boy has it flown by.

I have now started 6 tablets today and I am pleased to say that the symptoms I had at the beginning have passed and are a lot less.

Thank you to all that have commented on my journey and I hope that your own journey has good results for you.

thanks

Sorry having a bit of a grumble there. Rolleyes

Once again thank you for updating I for one enjoy reading through others psoriasis experience, and I'm sure our guests find comfort from seeing others personal journey. Thumb

Just for reference, I have had psoriasis for 22 years.  I have tried uv treatment, steroid creams, methotrexate, tar treatment and loads I have forgotten! I am hopeful that furmederm will, although might be difficult at first, help me with the process of not worrying about my skin anymore.

Fingers crossed!

More soon......

wishing you good luck with your medication I'll be praying you skin clears up and you feel better. We are all pulling for you!!! Thumb
