Yes I agree Fumaderm is a great drug if you can get it. I have been on it for over three years and have virtually no side effects apart from nice hot flushes. It is not a fast acting drug but if it works you will be amazed, the beauty of it is you can reduce the dose when it starts working, be warned the side effects at the start can be nasty but live through those and enjoy life again, as I do
I'm not a lover of Methotrexate myself it didn't agree with me, and having been on cyclosporin they may move you on.... I would ask the question of the dermatologist they can only say no, and if you have read up on here you can argue for it Big Grin

Avoid Methotrexate, and more importantly, avoid ME !!! Tongue

I have never been on that myself, i think, but, i have been on your current medication and it was ok for the first few months but after that, i giblets were like a washing machine, going round and round and in the end I was sick.

If so, I'll try and help you with a couple of idea's if you want ?

Blimey Grizzly I thought you was the Village Idiot, I didn't know you also had a job as the Local Spiv.

Oi Psssssssst Psssssssssssst Wana buy some dodgy gear from Ebay for your skin? come on Girls makes your skin all lovely and smooth. (Well that is until it starts falling off)  85

*Never buy anything for your skin from Ebay, stop and think to yourself why do they sell it on Ebay? Answer because they are not regulated and once they have fleeced you of your money they're gone, you could be putting anything on your skin so be very careful.

Thank you all, you're really funny.

Thanks Jiml, my little girls (in between driving me crazy) fill our lives with joy.

Grizzlybear, you're so kind to offer and share your advice and please don't be offended but I'm all stocked up on creams and potions (as well as being fairly broke lol) xxx

Good to see you back again, I'm glad your girls fill your life with joy. They grow up so fast though,

I'm glad you are enjoying the site, I think you would struggle to find a more friendly and accessible forum anywhere it almost makes it worthwhile having psoriasis

Keep reading up on treatments there is loads of stuff to absorb here
You think it's funny here you should look in the off topic section Confused or perhaps not Whistle

I'm just so happy to have found a group of people who can understand! I washed my hair with capasal 4 times yesterday and when I woke up this morning it was crusty again so I've just washed it 4 times again and my scalp still feels like I've had botox. ..no one outside of this group would understand that and not be grossed out by it lol (this is all because i had the audacity to use head & shoulders once 4 days ago!!!) xxx

I'll just call you mum for short the rests to long at this time of night ..... Big Grin
I'm glad you found us as well, the reason I stayed with this site is it was the first place I ever openly discussed my psoriasis, I never discussed it even with family, so for me coming here and being able as you so rightly said talk to people who were in the same situation and we're ready to listen and offer advice. was quite liberating. Coming here also helps you stay positive ...So I hope you can get some help here and enjoy it as much as I do Thumb
