Tomorrow is the 5th Birthday of Psoriasis Club

I would like to thank you all for your continued support, we have a great bunch of friendly members and although some come and go there always seems to be someone around to offer support or information to others.

I appreciate those of of you that take a moment to answer threads especially to the new members that post an introduction, I know some of you are busy and have your own life to live, but just by starting a thread and posting and update now and again can be of great help to others.

Psoriasis Club has and will always be a fully independent psoriasis website. This makes Psoriasis Club unique as there is (as far as I know) no other psoriasis website working in this way, we are the only psoriasis website that has no sponsors, no advertising, no donations, or staff to pay. We will never pay anyone or any company to advertise Psoriasis Club, people find us mostly by search engine results or recommendations. So there is no ulterior motive behind Psoriasis Club, we don't do it for the money or to please a pharma company, and we will never ask for donations as we don't accept them.

I've always said I will keep Psoriasis Club going as long as it is helping one person, it's now helping a lot of people and I can give you my word that you will never be left alone and find the place gone. That is not something I could do, and I will never sell up or take any form of payment. *The only caveat is that should I die I won't be able to keep it going, but don't worry I'm working on something.

Thank you also to those of you that use the members only boards, I enjoy reading what's going on in there. I've seen Debates, Jokes, Gardening, Games, Politics, Religion, Drinking, Sad times, Happy Times, Odd things that I sometimes cant understand, I love the Cake, I've even witnessed a motorcycle chasing chickens, but you know what I like the most about the members only boards? Whatever is said we all manage to get on and it never gets nasty or bitchy.

I know I'm not the easiest person to figure out and not many have been able to do so, but my heart is in helping others. I may sometimes be misunderstood and come across as a bit abrupt, that's just me and you have to take me the way I am as I won't change my ways. I'm just a person like the rest of you, and we all have different personality's but I will always listen to what you have to say.

So carry on everyone and lets enjoy the next 5 and many more years together, I'm off for some me time catch you later.

There's a portion of this in the Lounge for every member.

Thank You.
Fred.

Fred I congratulate you on five years of the club. I wish I had found it earlier. I would have loved to have been here when I first started my treatment.
You have as you say given us as members a unique site to belong to.... When I say belong that's the way it feels, it's a place where friendships are formed and help is offered freely and accepted with gratitude.

It is a secure safe site without interference from outside. Fred you do stirling work keeping it a safe place. working tirelessly behind the scenes stopping spammers and goodness knows what else
You are constantly busy trying to find subjects to keep us the members coming back, not to mention the quality of the articles you post, keeping us up to date with the latest developments in the fight against psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis

I know we sometimes don't see eye to eye, but I do appreciate all you do and can't thank you enough for providing us with such a vibrant active  site
Here's to the next five years

Fred, firstly mate.. you aint dying you're stuck with me and thats how its going to be which means you will have to live forever, sorry I'm not dying so you're not either. C'est le vie right?

Ok that said, Its me who should be thanking you mate. You and Jim and the others helped me when i needed it, I was absolutely freaking out about this whole work placement at a rubbish tip thing, with your advice with Jim to and the other's like i said I was able to calm the f*** down and get my head screwed on and get s*** sorted. (sorry mate been drinking). Personally I owe you a big thanks for giving me somewhere to meet other people with the same affliction / disease / condition and whatever else you can call it because for the first time in 20 years I have people i can talk to about P whether its serious advice or whether I make piled out of my dead skin or not.

Without getting to mushy, because you know being a bloke and all that cant show it to much (yeah right).

Thank you mate, from the deepest place I know thank you. Smile

Happy fifth birthday for Psoriasisclub !!! Heart Heart

It is a great place to be. Specifically because it has attracted a number of very nice people who all have to deal with the same problems. And the continuous drive and amount of support that is offered is really great.

I like being here around, because the number of subjects that can be discussed is not only limited to psoriasis subjects. There is also room for wit and fun.

May Psoriasisclub have a happy next 5 years !!

Caroline

..... and thanks for the birthdaycake. Tongue

Thank you Fred for putting your time and effort in to continue with what is a great site , it's been a big plus to be able to have a chat ,look up problems and get advice . I have not been on as much as I would have liked recently because of commitments with Clare but hopefully that will change soon and I can look forward to chatting a bit more. I don't know where the idea that you are difficult to get on with comes from Fred as I have always found you the opposite so you take care and once again thank you very much .

Happy Birthday Heart

Dear PC
Before I stumbled on your outstretched hand of welcome Bigarm I was very confused and uninformed about my crusty crappy skin.
Thank you Fred for giving birth to the big blotchy scaly baby Kiss
and thank you to all the baby sitters who are so friendly and informative.
So, good job Fred! Heart

PS thank you for the cake, it was yummy

Thank you everyone, but I couldn't do it without all your input as it wouldn't be worth it.

Glad you liked the cake, which one of you found the Psoriasis Club 5th Birthday Commemorative Coin hidden inside one portion?
