Hi Everyone, Wave

Hope life is treating you all kind.. I am a male in my mid thirties and had been suffering now for a few years... I have been put on Acitretin since yesterday and feeling very depressed as heard a lot of bad things about it. I have tried every thing from  moisturisers  to oral steroids and light therapy but nothing seems to working and now Acitretin..I would appreciate if  any one can share their  experience with Acitretin. Currently I am on a 25 mg tab..

Thanks

Hi limitless and welcome  Welcome  to the forum,Acetretin, it's one I haven't used but we have several members on Acetretin and they have generally had good results. My advice would be to embrace the drug, it should give you clearance without to many side effects if you put acetretin in the search bar at the top of the forum you will get lots of threads highlighted here's one to look at Acitretin it explains Acetretin and  then look at Acitrecin - week 1. She is now clear and has been for months
Kat one of the forum helpers has also been cleared using Acetretin see Signs of clearing
Go into it with an open mind I'm sure you will hear more positives than negatives about it,
Most people come to forums and report problems with treatments...... there are far more that have success and don't feel the need to search out a forum.
If you need some light relief after searching for answers join us in the off topic section there are lots of threads worth a read away from psoriasis

Hello limitless  Welcome to Psoriasis Club

I see Jim has started you off so not much more I can add, apart from just dive on in you will find us a friendly bunch so don't be depressed mate we know how you feel.

I can guarantee if you venture to the Off Topic Board you will find something to take your mind of things, oh and my posts are the sensible ones by the way.

Also you are welcome to start your own thread about Acitretin in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis and update it as you go if you want, it will help you to look back and could help others too.  Thumb

Regards.

Fred.
