Morning all,

Coming up to week 9, all going well. Hands, arms, body mostly clear.  Legs getting there, still quite marked and some p hanging in there!  Sometimes I think I have new bits but not sure !  Huh

Side effects / observations : hair and nails growing quicker than normal though this could be because of decline of p in they areas. Still have p in some nail beds though.

Dreams:: I now constantly dream , 4 or 5 a night, vivid dreams. Again this could be because I am getting more sleep, not up all night scratching . The last time I dreamt this way was when I was on nicotine patches .

Bloods , look fine to me got print out yesterday, though my cholesterol is 5.3, on the higher range as 5 being the top of normal. Again I'm getting out more and eating out. Bring on the cholesterol lowering food. Ha ha

Seen derm 2 weeks ago, she very pleased for me and says she has not seen anyone respond as quick as 2 weeks, which was when my arms were flat.  I have a couple of lesions on scalp which she is sending me to have a biopsy on the biggest one . Have had for years , before starting all meds, but because another has shown up she is doing this.

Fred: I mentioned food to her and from her reaction I don't think she has read the BAD literature for stelara and she says she has never advised anyone on foods.

Next jag due mid December, I'll keep updating.

Hope your all well.

Great news Angie, things will only get better and better now. That's strange about the dreams as I never thought about that as a side effect of the Stelara.

Great news Angie.

My nails grow quicker, but it could be like you said it's because the psoriasis is getting better. I'd had many years of nails coming away from the beds so they never really got time to grow, now although still very brittle they only have a few lines.

I've never noticed an increase in dreams, and as for cholesterol they tried to get me to take some pills for it but I never took them and at my next check it had gone down again. When I explained it had gone down on it's own, they didn't have an answer.

I noticed a change within a week of going onto Stelara and within 4 weeks all flakes had gone. You could still see where it had been after week 4 but it was just red and no longer raised.

And as for the food, like I said just enjoy what you like when you like.

Good continuation, and thank you for updating.

Sounds like things are better! Think it took about seven months before I knew Stelara was going to clear me.

Afternoon All,

Hope your all well. A quick update from me.

Week 15 , due 3rd injection at end of this week.

Skin doing great. Scalp - a few dots. Face - clear some staining. hands and arms - clear.
Legs - still dots and one cluster on hip which is always the worst , itchiest place. staining still quite a bit.
Body - few spots , small.
Nails - more than half still have signs of p. nothing as previous though, no lifting from nail bed.

So all in all I basically count myself as clear. (well almost, but clear for me) .

Side effects: none to note. Still dreaming but less. nails slowing down on growth. (may be due to the fact I am reaching the 3 month point)
Had extremely upset stomach once, I note that I did eat a machine bought Ice Cream, which if I was to follow some of the advice

Pressed wrong button and posted! ha ha out of practice.  Spank

anyway re food If I had followed advice as to do not eat certain foods whilst on stelara , I would not have eaten the
ice cream.

So doing really well, almost falling into the trap of taking my skin for granted and not moisturising  as I should.  Spank  Spank

I remind myself with a stern word. Ha Ha

Hope all are well and I will let you know how jag goes, hopefully do it right this time.

Take care

Hello Angie it's sounding good, long may it continue.

And yes you can tend to take it for granted once you do start getting clear, but it's always a good idea to keep well moisturised. I use coconut oil every day.
