EDIT By Fred This was Yabi's first post.

He has decided not to come back to us see last post in thread.

Hey you all. Hello! Im new to the site. I got bad news. I work in Florida. During summer it is very hot. The last 4 or 5 years i break out on my back and front mainly with what i called a heat rash or prickly heat. I strongly think this is related. I received a flaurnix quad flu shot which i think triggered this attack. Long story short. I go to a dermatologist an she informs me i have a type of psoriasis she has seen before. Possibly some type of infection. This crap is all over me. I normally tote nice skin. Not to mention i am bummed. Right now no treatment until my test come back. Gave me topicort. Not much help. Warning! Do not spray on out of shower! Burns an itched worse ;( i am to try an educate myself. I been all through the web. One would think that new skin trying to grow under nice skin. We would all have super nice smooth beautiful skin ! Thank all of you

Hello Yabi  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Yes you would think changing our skin regular would make it nice, but unfortunately we are growing it far quicker than it was designed to grow.

This thread shows the most known types of psoriasis Types Of Psoriasis Explained

Have a good look around, you will find us a friendly bunch always willing to share.

Regards.

Hi Yabi  Welcome  to the club  that's is bad news, it's the disease that none of us wanted, but if you are unlucky enough when the tests are back to have that  diagnosis, there are many treatments these days to control it, and a positive is you have found a great support group here

This site is full of information on all the treatments that are available and as new drugs are tested you will see all the latest news about them here
You can also learn from other members what works for them
Just make yourself comfortable here. and good luck
Jim

Welcome!

There's lots of info here, it's good you've been seen by a dermatologist. Hopefully when they get your test back they'll be able to prescribe you something that will help.

Thank you, I am going to search the site for answers to basic questions that have already been answered in here. I'm sure the people that have been on here a while do not want newbie repeat questions Huh    I first found this site on my phone. I see the full version is much nicer on notebook pc. Do lots of you use your phone? I think I would like to post a few pics? I dont have plaque as to the type of psoriasis i have. New members post photos?

Feel free to ask questions, I know I've repeated quite a few questions already asked here. People will respond or point you to the thread that may help answer and no one ever minds if a question has already been asked. Smile

I know we have quite a few that use tablets and I'm sure some use phones, I have maybe once or twice but normally I'm on my pc when here.

You have to have 5 posts to post photos.  There's information on how to do that as you have to host the pictures on another site.  Here's a link to a tutorial.  [Group Specific]

Search away, but as Kat says never be worried about asking a question that has already been asked. As you have seen we are a very friendly bunch a will happily answer any question if we know the answer   Big Grin

I am usually on my iPad but I do sometimes use my phone wen I'm out, but I have big fingers and hit the wrong keys.

You can post avatar pictures straight to the site
But photos in posts must be hosted by somewhere like imgur.com
See this for how to post from a tablet [Group Specific]

Just noticed Kat has reminded me you need 5 posts to post pictures

Like Kat said if it's been asked we can point you to some threads that can help. But we do encourage our members to just ask away, so don't worry if it's already been said we don't expect you to read your way through almost 57,000 posts to find something.

Plus we are all different and as we get more members you will get more feedback on your questions, so just start a thread and ask.
