Thank you everyone. I went to doc's this morning and before I even got a chance to ask to get referred she told me she is sending me to light therapy just need to wait on the NHS now. She also prescribed me a new cream which isn't a steroid so will see how I get on with that. She said to talk to my MS nurse regarding the other treatment. I can't thank you all enough for your advice.

Take my advice; I don't use it anyway.

Great news perhaps now you can get some relief from your psoriasis ... I hope you get it soon, and the new cream helps.

Look forward to hearing how it works for you Thumb

Don't hesitate to start your own thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis if you wish. It's a good way of looking back and could also help others.

Good Luck.

Welcome, Claire.

Because Fumaderm could treat both your p and ms, and because Fumaderm can be prescribed by a dermatologist, you should really be consulting a dermatologist. You might be lucky and kill two birds with one stone. How gruesome!

Hi Claire,

I think that the light therapie may help for you for a while selectively for the psoriasis. It is the classical approach but does make a bit less sense as you will not stop the psoriasis and have the risk of damaging your skin.

What Bill says really does make more sense. Try to talk extensively with your derm about Fumaderm. As this also may very well help for your MS. You are now in the starting phase of the MS, it makes very much sense to act know and hit two diseases at one stroke. This thought is given because you should realise that the use of DMF works best in the beginning stage of MS.

Caroline.
