Hi James and  Welcome to the forum I'm pleased you have found your way here, you will find us a friendly bunch of sufferers
I'm sure you will learn a lot from reading the health boards here, but if you need any help navigating around just shout someone will jump in and help

Have you seen a dermatologist James? It sounds from your introduction as if you gave been stuck on steroid ointment for far to long . How severe is your psoriasis?
If you haven't seen a dermatologist get your doctor to refer you to one ...
It sounds like time to move on and get a proper treatment.

I look forward to hear of your experiences ....... Thumb

We have a very active off topic section here and all members are made very welcome, hope to see you there sometime

Hello James  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Jim is right you should be seeing a dermatologist if you're not. If you are seeing one then you should get another one as you shoudn't be on Dovobet for that amount of time.  NoNo

To quote Dovobet.

Quote:
Dovobet ointment should be applied to affected areas once daily. The recommended treatment period is 4 weeks. If it is necessary to continue or restart treatment after this period, treatment should be continued after medical review and under regular medical supervision.

When using calcipotriol containing medicinal products, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 15 g. The body surface area treated with calcipotriol containing medicinal products should not exceed 30 %

You can read more about it here: Dovobet Ointment

Regards.

Fred.

Welcome to the forum James.Jim certainly is right you should be seeing a dermatologist and as Fred say's there is a maximum time for the use with Dovobet. Try to push for an appointment with a dermatologist as if your GP has kept you on that for 10 years then I am not sure that he/she knows what they are doing.
You will find most answers to your question on here and we have suffered with the dam thing ourselves so we all know what it's like not some theory by so called medical staff.
