It sounds to me as if even for them it is a bit of guess work, but I can see where they are coming from.
But bearing in mind this drug is used in Germany and a similar one in Holland, makes me wonder if this is a problem why it hasn't been spotted before,
If it is the case then they will have to start printing a warning on the packaging I would imagine

I see the mail is from guys hospital London .. pharmacist have you had a reply from Germany yet?

I found it very worrying to be honest as it could mean people using it are driving illegally. I think people using it would be advised to keep a copy of the email in their wallet.

I've made an edit to the Fumaderm thread: Fumaderm

A bit hasty as at present we only have a guess of a pharmacist to go on, I would be inclined to hear what biogen say before warning people . That's my opinion Confused

I thought of it as an advisory instead of a warning.

My thinking was if a person using Fumaderm got stopped and made a positive breath test on the side of the road it could save a lot of problems and even embarrassment if they could show something that might help.

If I had an email like that from a pharmacist about Stelara I would take a copy and carry it with me. I'm not suggesting it's going to show every Fumaderm user is over the limit, but just think it's something users should be aware of.

Whatever it is it shouldn't impair your driving, I would doubt, if you are breathalysed when out, and fail you should pass a blood test at the police station,

I may well buy myself a breathalyser to see if I get similar results... Thumb

Good point I just don't want people to think it's another side effect from Fumaderm and a reason not to start it, as it is such a good safe effective drug.....

It may not be a problem Jim and as Baz said he will update when he knows more.

Even if it is a "Side Effect" it's not one that would stop people using it as like you said it Doesn't impair driving and if you do have to go to the police station in handcuffs you will pass the real test.

I was just thinking the information at hand for Fumaderm users that drive may save the handcuffs and make Mr Plod a little bit more friendlier.

Just my opinion.

If I were you I would have a phone call with GMP apotheek Mierlo-Hout, in the Netherlands. You can find the tel number yourself. If anybody knows if ethanol would come free, they will.

I will chase another source.

Establish a baseline by keeping a journal with time of readings without taking the drug and talking the drug. Also, you may try and drink my water throughout the day.
