Thanks for the nudge Caroline Blush

Tummy seemed to be settling down until a couple of days ago. Felt really poorly yesterday and the toilet was my new best friend.

Not sure how it's working on my P yet. Was totally clear while taking ciclo. P has returned on my elbows, top of feet, hands, nails scalp and a wee bit on my face. Saw derm last Monday and he gave me Topicorte lotion for scalp, nails and face. Have to say, this has worked really well in less than a week. Patch on my face has gone and scalp and nails are a lot less. Can dye my hair again soon before too much grey shows. Important factor for me.

Seem to be getting flushes. Not sure if that is due to fumeraat or the ciclo was stopping them.

Playing about with foods at the mo. Pretty sure white bread causes stomach upset. Suspicious with chocolate. When taking MTX even a small amount of chocolate upset my stomach. No more visits to the chocolate factory for me.

Also think that taking them on an empty stomach is really bad. So now making sure I take them with food even if I'm not hungry.

Give me a kick up the butt when you want an update Caroline....lol

Hi I am on Fumaderm and I always take mine after meals I take 2 tables after breakfast with plenty of fluid, and 2 after my evening meal, again with plenty of fluid ( I'm not very strict with my regime and I eat and drink anything I fancy and never seem to suffer. I get the occasional flush and stomach cramp)
. I hope you get clear and the Fumerate agrees with you. Thumb which form of the drug are you on. I had to start with Fumaderm initial to start before I was put on full strength tablets

I take 2 150mg tablets 3 times a day. Hoping when I get used to the higher dose my tummy settles down. Was really poorly yesterday with stomach cramps and regularly to the loo. Today stomach slightly queasy but the toilet and me aren't best mates anymore and only acquaintances. Remembered to take with food this morning and have just eaten now so fingers crossed it doesn't depart company to quick.
Also seem to notice that if I don't drink enough fluids end up with a headache.

Stick with it should improve as you get used to it, my p was slow to clear when I started although I started to notice an improvement after a couple of weeks and it just got better and better, I now have a couple of fingernail problems and nothing else Thumb just remember take the tabs after food it's one of the Rules

Hi Beverly.

If Fumaderm does not work out, you might think of changing to Psorinovo. It has an external cover to pass your stomach, and it is slow release in your intestines, which might help.
In one of the about 5 cases, DMF does not work or is too heavy, hopefully it will help for you. Personally I have only occasional problems with my tummy.
You are already on 2x 150mg three times a day, that is the max for Fumaderm.

Anyway DMF will take some time until it fully starts working.
The flushes are normal, they are certainly from the DMF.

Caroline.

Gonna stick with it until my next derm appointment which is in January. If my tummy hasn't settled down then will see what the alternatives are. Don't usually have a problem with medicines either.
I keep seeing DMF being mentioned with fumerderm. Is this the same thing? People mention blue tablets and mine are white.
Will mention the psorinova at my next appointment.

Oh.... Where does it come from Beverley?
Oud-Beijerland ?
Yes, then it is quite possible that you have tummy problems. That's a version that I would not use if I were you. Sometimes my Drugstore orders that version by accident, but I always refuse that.
Certainly you should try Psorinovo. Watch the "o" at the end. Wink
