Well here we are 6 years on and still going strong.

We are still The Only independent psoriasis website out there. Some said it would never last, but six years later here we are still offering support to others in a safe friendly environment away from anything to do with money.

I have a had a good look around and will stand corrected if I'm wrong, but there is no other psoriasis website like Psoriasis Club.
  • We have no advertising.
  • We have no sponsors.
  • We don't accept donations. *
  • We have no one to answer to.
  • We have no ulterior motive.
  • We are just people with psoriasis.

I don't believe there is another psoriasis website out there that does all of the above. You will notice I say "We" that is because I couldn't do it without all the support from our members. We have built up a reputation of being friendly and supportive away from any outside influence, and it makes me feel proud to be a part of it.

The reason I started Psoriasis Club was to give people a friendly safe place where they could talk with others who understand. My priority was and still is the members, they like me are just people living with psoriasis and that is a burden on it's own. I wanted a place away from advertising or sponsorship deals, I also wanted a place away from anything to do with money (hence the reason I will never accept donations) I just wanted to meet friendly people who understood what it was like to live with psoriasis.

There were and probably still are some psoriasis websites out there doing their thing. Some do a good job and I won't deny that they do help, but I'm just not one for sponsorship, advertising or donations as it can make me question where the money goes. Here we have a completely different approach as we don't have anything to do with money, we are often getting offered sponsorship and donations but they are of no use to us.

We currently have:
  • More than 74,000 posts.
  • More than 3000 threads.
  • More than 700 active members.
*Unused accounts are removed.
*Not all posts/threads are visible to guests.

Some of my policy's are not popular amongst a minority, but Psoriasis Club is not here to publicise and help others get traffic or financial gain. And anyone trying to promote, sell or even give away any treatments will be shown the door.

I have recently announced enough funding for the next two years, and I have things in place that will continue to see it run without being money driven past that date I'm sure.

So I would like to say Happy 6th Birthday Psoriasis Club and send out a huge thank you to all members that still take a moment to log-in and post, it's you that keeps it going and I'm just happy seeing others like me using it.

I have always said whilst Psoriasis Club is helping one person I will keep it going, and the feedback I get is more than enough to assure me that we have a long future.

*One person did manage to track down the Psoriasis Club PO Box once and sent a donation, but there was no return address so I was unable to send it back. The donation was put in the Psoriasis Club pot and went towards the annual hosting charges.

HAPPY BURTHDAY PSORIASISCLUB

Congratulations Fred for giving  this platform to us sufferers of psoriasis, it is a great, unique resource which you should deservedly be proud of .......in six years you have built a tremendous archive of facts about the disease, and members experiences

I am proud that you have allowed me to be one of the helpers.

I am sure the site will continue to be a place of refuge for sufferers looking for a place to air their worries, and discuss treatments,  to like minded caring sufferers

Here's to the next six years cheers
