Hi Sally Wave
I see the rest of the hive have beaten me to it - again. I really must move further East so I can stand a fighting chance of first dibs Big Grin .
I know exactly where you are coming from one of the old banned/ceased production coal tars was the only one that came anywhere close to keeping the P under control. My Dermy did prescribe Sebco as an alternative it was kind of alright but by the time you have more than so much coverage, creams become lifestyle limiting, with having to do this then wait for so long before you can put this cream on. i can agree with the E45 it was like pasting battery acid on with me  - but it is important to keep moisturising. There will be one or two that will work for you. Mine are Cetraben for use first thing and Dermol for use in the evening because it is absorbed quickly and tends not to be ikky. I have also been dabbling with a cheapo Coconut Oil and I can see the benefits. Like everybody says push for a Consultants appointment, you need treatment beyond what a GP can dish out. A word of warning though you will probably have to run through the tedium of failing on all the available lotions and UV treatment before orals are prescribed, that's the NHS guidelines for you Angry

Anyhows Welcome,  don't be afraid to ask someone will be able to point you in the right direction Thumb

Thanks for all the advice guys, i shall def be having  along talk with my GP next week when i see her, she is really good as she has helped with the fibromyalgia and got me on the right track with the diabetes as well, plus all the ailments that i have that are linked to them both.

Now i just wish the weather would buck up and the constant rain would leave us lol! Wave

Here here on the weather  Confused  Sally it's been awful here in Norfolk, I'm going rusty waiting for the sun to stay out

Good idea having a good chat with your doctor but do remember he can only offer you creams for anything that will work long term he will have to refer you to a dermatologist, who has a tremendous arsenal of tricks to help with the disease
Good luck

Hi Sally

welcome to the club  Smile

I have recently been prescribed Acitretin - so still waiting to see the outcome....
....but for genereal moitrurising etc, I am using Dermol 500 as an antimicrobial emollient and soap substitute
- it has worked wonders for me - My hands and feet used to sting and itch like mad - this stopped it.

Also like the others - I use pure unrefined coconut oil (especially on my scalp) it is lovely and  makes your hair nice too !

Tink xxx
