Wow what a transformation, it's certainly great to see how flat your skin is looking without the plaques. It will good to see in the next few weeks as the pink skin starts to normalise ..

I hope you get to go swimming very soon, it's nice to feel normal enough to take the plunge Thumb
Good luck

Thanks guys, I have to say it looks much more red in the pics than in real life. And my arms....basically gone!!!! I'm so excited! Tonight I showed my extended family pics of how it looked and then showed them it currently. None of them us seen how bad it was on the legs as I always covered/made excuses not to swim etc. it's not sore and it's not itchy! Even if this was the best it got I would be stoked! Sounds strange, but I feel a million dollars. No side effects (except appetite decrease, which considering the extra weight I have on I can only see as a bonus :-)

Yes I well remember being covered up and making excuses not to go swimming for many years. My medication cleared me for the first time in my adult life ....that was over four years ago but I still get a thrill being able to join in the beach games and get in the swimming pool....
I think it needs a long time sufferer to understand just how liberating it us to feel " normal" enough to not be embarrassed or ashamed that we have this awful disease

I sincerely hope it will give you long term clearance and give you your life back

Goodness me, what a difference  Thumb

Won't be long before the hair grows back on the effected area. I know because my calf's were similar to yours and once my P cleared, my hair grew back over time. Get your lady shave ready for when the hair comes back  Big Grin

Long may your good fortune continue  Thumb

Totally agree! I don't think anyone can understand unless they have suffered. Thanks so much-I hope so too! What cleared you and kept you clear?

What got me clear and has kept me clear so long is fumaderm ( DMF) it's not available in Australia although Bill on here uses DMF. In Australia see Bill's pure dimethylfumarate thread
If it ever fails for me I will be hoping to get Cosentyx

Fantastic stuff, Belinda! It is great to see a fellow Aussie getting top treatment. How many treatments did you have to try and fail before being able to access Cosentyx? I am getting great results with DMF like Jim, and while it is slower to act I never had to wait other than for it to ship from Shanghai.

Cheers,

Bill

Hey bill! In the last 20 yrs I can't even tell you all the treatments! Cyclosporine, methotrexate, uv, all the steroid cream. I was on infliximab many moons ago and while it cleared me for a year, one day I was having and infusion and I out of the blue had an anaphylactic response to the infusion and was diagnosed with drug induced lupus from it. Since then I have been embryo, humira, stellara and not Cosentyx! Stellara cleared all except legs, and didn't last between injections. Saw results, but not great ones! Already Cosentyx has improved it way more than Stelara ever did!

Was really easy to get in Aus. Within 2 weeks of seeing derm i had the script in my hand and had first injection next day. I am treated through Alfred hospitaldermatologist clinic and they have a biological dermatology clinic and are leading Melb teaching research hospital. Things move quick through there!
