Hey all! I'm a 29 year old male that has had psoriasis since I was about 13. I have been on Raptiva when I was 18 (and it worked great, until it was pulled from the market), Otezla (It did not work on my P or my PsA), Humira (Worked wonders on my PsA, but did absolutely nothing for my P), and I just took my first loading dose of Cosentyx last week. I am hoping it works, as I'm tired of using topical steroids. Glad I found a forum with others with this awful, awful condition. Just wanted to say hi!

Thanks! Will do, Fred. Also, I meant Plaque in my title, although it seems like a plague, lol!

Hi WhoDey and welcome  Welcome to the club here you will find a great bunch of fellow sufferers, we all give and take support from  each other as we deal with this awful disease .....being here you will find that we share experiences of what works and what doesn't .

You will never be asked for donations or see any adverts  or spam ...the site is just sufferers and families helping through experience

I'm glad you have got Cosentyx it has been very successful since its launch and I hope it will work well for you
I hope also that you will keep us informed of your progress as it will no doubt help others looking for reassurance about the drug

Good luck and welcome again

Welcome to the Club WhoDey Thumb  . Here's hoping the Cosentyx does the trick for you, it will be interesting to hear of your journey. Have a good rummage around, there is tons of interesting info. Don't forget the Off topic slot either. Head to the bar for a gargle or a giggle in the jokes ( just a word of caution some are errr really bad).

Hi WD welcome to the club, I hope that your latest treatment works Ok for you . It just demonstrates what we have said about treatments working for one and not another , we are all different and what is really good for one does nothing for someone else like the Otezla for you. I agree with you about topical steroids they are a real pain and at least in the last 10 years more and more new treatments have appeared on the market.
Have a good look around it's a great site with genuine inmates who will always give you a truthful answer to your questions even if a lot of them are a bit barmy , not me though, so welcome again and look forward to hearing good progress.

Hello and welcome. Otezla has not been shown to prevent or slow down bone damage in PsA. It works for plaque psoriasis - just takes longer. Anyone with PsA should skip Otezla and use biologics instead. Plenty to choose from. Hopefully, Cosentyx works for you.
