Ibuprofen doesn't help me (still basically own stock in the size bottles I buy) and I'm in a major flare (I couldn't find a PsA test score on this site). I started Cosentyx 3/27 as we say in the USA, but for the last 2 weeks, also Tramadol from a pain management doctor who is new to me and is very conservative. It also doesn't work well and I usually take it differently than prescribed (but not with alcohol or anything). I am a working student, so I sit long hours with commuting up and down stairs in between. Unfortunately, my flare areas are my foot, pelvis, sacrum, and lumbar spine. So shoes, sitting or laying on my stomach or back are unbearable. I took a ride in a car with lumbar support- torture machine.
But it really reads like people just live with this excruciating pain? I kind of can't believe this? This is all that's on my mind. I can't wait for bedtime. The only wake time I look forward is my coffee, which I love and now need to reduce, and then it's H-E double hockey sticks LL for the rest of the day.
My roommate bought 4% lidocaine and I rubbed it all over but it just ice burns my skin.
The rheumie said it would be 1 week for the Cosentyx to start working. But Fred's journey looked like he started at flare and it took 3 months. Am I supposed to put a knife under the bed to cut the pain?
I think my chipper personality and active participation in researching this disease are betraying my pain levels. Also, I've been unable to take my pants off since my back went out Thursday
