I agree with Caroline it's certainly time to put the pressure on your GP to get a referral and with the NHS it might take a bit of time for the appointment,but use the time wisely while waiting and come here and ask questions, look through the prescribed treatments here on this link. When you do see the dermatologist explain to rheum that your doctor has prescribed creams over years and they just don't work....tell them you are at the end of your tether and are desperate for something to work...the more needy you appear the better chance of not being sent away with a tube of cream
