DMF, in the form of Fumaderm or other, is a slow burner. But you have a good chance that it might work.
Advantage is that the side effects are much more harmless than those of MTX, which is basically a poison.
Take your time, you may even need to gradually build up to 6x 120mg, then it should work and you can go down a bit. If that dose is still too little, there is an escape for the Dutch approach, but that is for later
