Bryhali lotion

I was thinking as I'm not a fan of steroids for treatment of the disease and wonder is this the same as other steroid applications in that it's designed for short term use or damage will be done to the skin.....if this is the case I wonder how much use it can be as psoriasis always comes back at some point when treatment stops . That being the case why o why do they keep prescribing it to people with moderate to severe psoriasis

Use:

• Apply a thin layer of Bryhali Lotion to the affected areas once daily.
  
• Treatment beyond 8 weeks is not recommended. Discontinue treatment if control is not achieved before 8 weeks.
  
• Do not use with occlusive dressings unless directed by a physician.
  
• Avoid use on the face, groin, or axillae.
  
• Not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. 
  

As for "Why" my guess would be it's cheap. But we all know these things will never work long term.
