Painkillers fall into different categories. Some of the major ones (opiods, morphine, etc) are only available with a prescription. Over the counter meds like Tylenol, Motrin, etc do not require a prescription. There are a lot of drugs available that do not require a prescription.

Weed depends on the state as far as legality for recreation or medical usage so that varies. If it's for medical usage a prescription is required.

Not sure you can get cocaine at all in any legal sense. It is used in hospitals as local anesthesia in some cases but the average person can't legally acquire it. I don't think there is any prescription drugs that even have cocaine in them available but I could be wrong.

I'm not really all that knowledgeable about drugs prescription or otherwise. I only know that (right or wrong) there are laws that govern how to dispose of them and and sharing a prescription in the United States is considered a NoNo Whether there are exceptions to that, I do not know.
