Hi Yorkshire Lad. I had lots of hair loss including my beard years ago when I was taking an anti-rejection drug called cyclosporine that they used to use for P but when I had to stop taking it the hair grew back. Not come across your particular combination of problem hope that it grows back you get very attached to your beard  .
Have you had any P under your beard, shaved mine off a few years ago when I had it very bad under the beard and scalp but it's back again now..
