Not sure why you would get them, but I'm guessing you have Windows or Android. A lot of laptop and phone manufacturers install apps see "Bloatware" so I'm thinking you have a Twitter app installed that came with your device.

If you don't use it you can delete it. Whilst you're there you may find loads of others that you don't use.

Yes to both. Windows 10 on the computer and an Android phone. I don't have a twitter (X) phone app, just checked but I don't recall getting anything on my phone. There will be an article or something on the homepage on my computer, which is set to MSN, drives Mr. Kat crazy Tongue that will say "So and so is wrong" and it will (would) be from a twitter post. If I clicked on it then I would get "Need to log in to view"
