Apparently they see a correlation. But it can easily be that this correlation is faulty (Fawlty?)
If for instance there is a strong correlation of smoking and axiety, then it is very well possible that they are measuring the relation between anxiety and psoriasis where they think they are measuring the effect of smoking.
Agreed, the anxiety is a proven point, it does change chemistry in your body.
I did not know of the fact that stopping certain medication (lithium is a bad one) will lower your psoriasis again. For me this is another hint in the direction of psoriasis being something metabolic (in combination with genetic sensitivity).
