I am suppose to take another shot on Thursday October 30. I am going to hold off till I talk to my dermatologist. Her office is closed on Thursday so I am going to call her Friday.

Has anyone on here that is on or have taken Humira have any side effects?

Hello Sarah good to see you again. Smile

Yes I would hold of your next shot just to be sure. It may not be to much to worry about but one should always report a cough when using the bio's as they can be one of the side effects. Myself I never do as it usually is just a virus going around and passes, however if I've had it longer than a week then yes I would report it.

It's probably like Jim said a chest infection that can be cured with antibiotics, but for the moment I would advise missing out on your next shot of Humira. You can always just start again once you get it cleared up.

If you also have a fever like the Flu with the cough and feel very tired all the time, then it would be a good idea to tell your dermatologist about that too, these are common side effects and although not normally serious, you should report it.

I did have a reaction to Humira and ended up in hospital for a week looking like a lobster, I didn't have a cough but was totally drained of all my energy. I switched to Enbrel after that, but you've already tried that so see what your dermatologist has to say but it may be worth mentioning Stelara (ustekinumab) as people are getting fantastic results and very little problems.

Good luck and please keep us updated.

Smile
