You cannot save the world.

People suffer every day everywhere around the planet. It'll never stop. P is just one area and there are of course many medical conditions that cause suffering.

So, you could argue that giving away the cure will help P sufferers, but it will only help those with P.  But with all that money you'd be taking off the giant corporates, you could give it away to other medical sufferers.

Where does it end ?  Can you save everyone ? No, is the answer

To my mind money brings greed and more suffering

Not if you intend to give most of it away.

Anyway, we live in a less than perfect world, ... capitalism. Its ugly yes, but then the human race is an ugly ( generically speaking ) species. Greedy, back stabbing, warmongering, selfish, i want i want i want.  This is why socialism never works, because we're dealing with the human animal, and in the cold light of day, is the worst virus to ever inhabit the planet.

I'll leave it there, as i hate politics
