It's the splits in my skin that's sore there bleeding constantly and are very thick. I try my hardest to keep it moist but it's an impossible job. I also have had the maximum amount of ultra violet treatment twice but not even that helped x

I'm not telling you what to do its up to you .... But in your position I would phone the dermatology department that prescribed the gunk to you .(weep down the phone) tell them the truth that you are desperate for some relief. Tell them you can't cope ( lay it on thick) although I don't think you need to you are obviously in distress
But ask for something different even a steroid cream to calm the plaques down while waiting for tablets to take effect...I would ask for acetretin as it might work quicker than methotrexate

That's what I would do and if they say they have no appointments ....present yourself to A&E and tell them you're at your wits end

I'm afraid many doctors don't take this disease seriously enough and treat it as a minor ailment ....grrrrrrr
