As far as ideas, coconut oil is a good safe product to try. I find it helps with dryness and itchiness but you made need a different cream from your doctor.
I don't think, at least from my experience, that having psoriasis in one place or another is an indication on where it might flare again. I had it in numerous spots but now only have problems with ears and scalp.
