I know the MTX is awful and gives me horrendous side effects which is why I was put on Humira but when I stopped the MTX my skin was out of control as Humira needs time to kick in so had to start it again until the Humira starts helping but that's not happening! I'm hoping by my appointment that I've been on Humira long enough for them to see its not working but if I start a new drug I have to deal with hardly being able to walk until that kicks in and that's if it works at all. I was on Cyclosporin for 6 months or so which helped but then stopped working for me. Feel like I'm going round in circles but not getting far. It's all very well when dermatologist says it's takes time but they not the one suffering constantly and 3 years is long enough.

I agree Methotrexate is a terrible drug, which does seem to work on most people but the side effects are often too much so people give up,......that's what happened to me

Yes it sounds like the Humira is failing hopefully your dermatologist will understand and give you Stelara or even Cosentyx, these days with so many good drugs there shouldn't be any need to suffer, but it seems our system will save money at the expense of our health.

When you speak to them tell them what you want read on here of the available treatments so you will be able to have a proper discussion with him
