Hi,

I have only just joined today, and have already found answers to questions I had. Jiml has made me welcome, and has made it easier for me to get involved. I wish that I had found this forum earlier!

One of the reasons why I have joined this forum is because I would like to learn what others have found, as we can all benefit from a pooling of information.

I have had Psoriasis for most of my life, and it has got worse and improved periodically, as it does with most people. However, I have recently been diagnosed with PsA, which has changed how I feel about Psoriasis, and how I will deal with the other more recent symptoms that I am faced with.

Through the forum I hope to find other treatments as well as new ways of improving my quality of life in general.

In my short time on the forum I have been very impressed with the professional approach and wide range of topics. I look forward to learning so much more useful information.

Paul

Hello Paul Welcome to Psoriasis Club

Thanks for the kind words it's good to hear you have already found some useful information and been made to feel welcome, I'm sure as you get to know more of us you will find we are a friendly bunch.

Re your situation with Psoriasis as you've had it so long and now been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, I would talk to your dermatologist about going onto one of the new Bio treatments they have given me my life back. You can read more about them here Biological Treatments For Psoriasis Or now Jim is getting Fumaderm in the UK it could be worth having a chat about that too, of course there are other treatments like Methotrexate but I would push for the Bio option if I was in your shoes.

As for improving your quality of life not only will the Bio's do that, but we can help with the [Group Specific] board. I'm sure you will find something there to amuse you. (Oh and contrary to what you may hear, I'm the only sensible one in there)

Just dive on in Paul and thanks again for the words, I have added one of your comments to Members quotes and the random quotes in the footer.

Regards.

Fred.

Hello Paul,

Welcome to psoriasisclub, a very nice place to be. I am proud on the club that you have already found interesting information.
Lots of things have been mentioned by the other.

One thing may be good to mention, and that is that if a guy says that he is the only sensible one, then that must trigger your sense of suspicion.. It's only that you know it....

Hi Caroline,
I think the point is that there is only one sensible man on the forum. I am proud to admit that this is me, so I am left feeling sorry for all those who don't qualify. On the other hand, modesty is my greatest virtue, along side being a congenital liar. Can you suggest a therapy or cream for that?

Hi Paul,

You have a serious problem over there. At least that is how I see it. But psoriasisclub would not be psoriasisclub if not somewhere there would be a cure for your problem on the forum.
The direction of the best therapy I can guess for now is to get as soon as possible to the Off Topic section. Over there nothing is what it seems, so that fits exactly with your sad and unpleasant situation.

Can't think of a cream for that or we would all be using it on here. ....... The truth is I'm the only sensible one as can be clearly seen in the off topic section Big Grin
