I have the triamcinolone cream. Works for about an hour after I apply it. I've tried every over the counter anti itch lotion but they are pretty useless so I wait until the medicine kicks in and gets rid of the itching

And that little tube is supposed to be a 90 day supply... Good luck on that one /sarcasm. I hated those days.

Is it possible to use some powder for the itching? E.g. menthol powder or something?

Good morning Caroline. I've never tried powder for the itching but it's certainly worth trying. I'll get some over the weekend and see what happens. Thanks for the idea. Has anyone tried the powders?

Hi all. Took my 3rd shot on Monday and I'm happy to say there is definite improvement. The thick patches are gone although there is still much left to heal including the redness and itching. Be that as it may it is starting to work and I'll keep you all posted

Hello,

My name is Daniel and I started on Cosentyx last week.  I took my second set of shots tonight and am anxious to see how the next few weeks go.  I have tried Raptiva, Enbrel, Humira, Remicade, Stelara, and Soriatane (did not stay on too long because it severely chapped my lips) and the only thing that has ever worked for me was Raptiva (almost all clear with it) but that was pulled years ago.  I am hopeful that Cosentyx will work where the others have not.  I can't really tell yet if anything has changed but at least I don't think I have experienced any side effects.  I also think the injection pen is a lot better now and doesn't hurt as much as others have.

I appreciate the updates and look forward to see how things improve for you.

-Daniel

Hi folks, started my first dosage of Cosentyx today. Brad thanks for the info and will keep a close eye on this thread. I have psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis and have tried everything. Head, arms back and worst is upper thighs. Man, I keep telling myself to be thankful because plenty others have worse issues. Started the so called 3 month free period with Novartis. If insurance balks after 3 months I owe nothing. Of course I also have no more treatments. They also said they would assist with co-pay for a two year period.

My brother-in-law who is a internist said they are very eager to assist with getting people started so that positive feedback will be made public on Cosentyx . I don't know, maybe is the best time to start. Take care
