Currently I have psoriasis in various places on my body mostly on my legs and arms. I have seen short term results with Humira and Stelara but it never sticks more than 3 months. I just started Cosentyx Clap last week after trying Humira, Stelara, and every other product on the shelf. So far the only side effect I have seen has been a stuffy nose.

Hi and a big  Welcome to the forum you will find us a friendly bunch of sufferers here with plenty of advice and support. Sadly with cosentyx being so new we only have a few on it yet. So hearing of your experience will be very interesting
I think a stuffy nose is worth suffering if you can get clear on it.  Thumb
I look forward to hearing how it works for you, there have been promising trials and a few out there already having success.
I'm glad you have joined us. Feel free to browse the health boards and for light entertainment you will be welcome in the off topic section which tends to be a bit light hearted

Update -- So here I am on week 3 of the loading dose -- My arms which used to have thick plaque coverage on the elbows and fore arm are now almost clear. There is still slight redness in some places but mild and when I say mild I mean MILD coverage left over. My legs, the shin area, had 90% thick plaque coverage are still covered but it is very very light. I am hopeful this will continue to work. Will update again... So far so good, I am curious what happens when I am off the loading dose though.

Hi again. Great to see you back with an update, and great news that you are clearing fast.
It should continue from what I have read on the drug, it looks as if you are going to have a clear summer.stay positive I'm sure when you get past the loading dose, the follow ups should continue to work just as well.
I look forward to your continued success and hope you get great clearance and can begin to enjoy life

Thank you for updating, I'm sure your information will be of use to others.

So far it's looking good, the slight redness could be just pigment change in your skin from psoriasis. Sunshine should help over time, but I still have a couple of patch's that are a different colour to the rest of my body.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Yesterday was injection number 5.

My legs which were the worst look pretty good without any moisturizer, slight discoloration on my legs but nothing that prevents me from wearing shorts

My arms and elbows are 99% clear, now looks just like a little bit of dry skin with no discoloration. This stuff so far is pretty impressive. The big challenge comes now that the loading doses are done lets see where I am in 2 weeks and then again in 4 weeks.

Good to hear it's all going well, it's amazing how quick the Bio treatments work.

But like you say the challenge will come soon to see if you can get past the 12 weeks point, the bio's tend to take around 12 - 16 weeks to find out if it's going to be for you or not.

Fingers crossed for you, as you had a fail with Humira and Stelara it's a worrying time but hang on in there as it's looking good so far.

Great news looks like Cosentyx is the wonder drug they said it would be, there are a lot of positive things being said, have you had any side effects? If not that's brilliant news
Thanks for keeping us informed Thumb
