Hi all,

Update:

Stelara injection number 8 did today. 1 year 24 weeks on Stelara.

Results still great. Usual elbows and hip patches stubborn, do lessen a couple of weeks after injection but do not clear. Closer to when injection is due I am finding slightly more dots than previously, couple on my hands this time which have been clear since second injection.

Bloods are fine, slight rise on glucose levels, but I do like my sweet tea and of course Irn Bru!  Tongue

Staining on legs is lighter.  Have some nail psoriasis, which is improved if I keep my nails shorter.

Still extremely happy with results, and long may they continue.

Hope you are all well, going to have a quick read around while I have peace and quiet here.

Good to hear it's still going well Angie. Thumb

Did you say "peace and quiet here" surely you don't mean on Psoriasis Club? I can never seem to find that nice little quiet place to hide. Big Grin

Hi All  Wave

Two years this week on Stelara.

Still working great.  Slightly less effective than first year & half but I am still very happy with it.

Same persistent plaques do not clear completely anymore and grow in size in run up to injection.

Bloods all good, no side effects as such.  I have mentioned a couple of times to Derm regarding
healing of my skin if I burn myself with Iron , oven etc (Not intentionally, may I add, just always in a hurry!)
The skin never returns to a normal colour, she mentioned hyper- pigmentation or something but this is not
thought to be a side effect of Stelara.  Maybe just a coincidence then as I still have a lot of pigmentation
on my face.  I do not know if this is what would be classed as staining as when I was covered almost 90%
in P my face was pretty bad.  Each time I reduced dose of cyclosporin back then, the skin on my face & hands
would burn.  The shape of the pigmentation would match this.

One other thing is Dark circles, I have this written on my Stelara Diary at Week 2.  They got worse as the months
went on and now I spend a bloody lot of money on lotions , potions & make-up to cover them. (Now no-one mention
I'm getting older) ha

Staining on legs much the same.

So all in all, I am happy to put up with the pigmentation issues and live with the amount of P I have, thanks to Stelara.

Maybe buy myself a pair of wide rimmed specs to cover the circles!! ha  Cool  Cool

Hope you are all well.

Hello Angie, good to see you again. I can't speak for the others but I'm very well thank you for asking.

Two years! where has the time gone eek

Good to hear it's still working albeit maybe not as good as it was. I always found Stelara tailed off around the last month, but it soon worked again after the next shot.

I would say keep going on it of you are happy. There are more Bio's available should it stop working, but best to hold them as a back up.

Good luck.

Fred.

Good to hear things are going well for you Angie It's a shame about the pigmentation ... I have the problem as well but mainly on my legs and it's more noticeable in the summer as I tan ( or go rusty)

I'm also keeping well thanks for asking and managing to keep my psoriasis under control ..

Good luck with the Stelara and long may it continue to work for you but as fred says there are more bios becoming available so the future looks bright for us sufferers

Great update  Thumb

Nice to see you Thumb

I'm on stelara and like yourself, I'm pleased with it even though it's not totally clear.

My dermatologist prescribed Enstilar foam for my trunk.

Ask your dermatologist if she can prescribe it to you ?

As for the wide brimmed specs, would the 70's Elton John ones be ok ? Big Grin

Stay safe Angie.

Hi All  Wave

Did Jag Number 12 on Saturday.

All going well, slight change to how Jag number 11 worked. Psoriasis took a bit longer to clear
but stayed clearer towards next due date of jag. Previously worked other way around.

I will see if recent jag does the same.

Bloods all fine, still really pleased with Stelera  Clap

GB: Yeah I have Enstilar and use it when P gets bothersome.  Elton John specs,
yeah sounds good but getting to an age where a mask would probably be better!  Tongue

Hope you are all well.
