Welcome Linn.

If you are getting joint pain it might be a good idea to see a rheumatologist. You can then get a diagnosis for your arthritis, which will start the ball rolling treatment wise. Psa is a pernicious little devil and not something to ignore.

Hi Linn. welcome to the club.
When you mentioned coal tar I had flashbacks to 50 odd years ago when I first started with P,I used to make a body suit out of stretch bandage then put the smelly black stuff all over. I thought that we had moved on a little since then.
It does nothing for the PsA either so what you need is a really good derm who knows what they are doing as I am sure that they can do better than that.
This forum is brilliant because everyone on here has the same problems not like the medical staff who just think they know what its like to have p and PsA, just ask away and someone on here will have an answer I am sure.
As I said Linn welcome and you will find that the inmates are all friendly.

Hi Linda,

With each post you can use the quote button. So the previous is well, "quoted". This makes it easier to see to which post you reacted.

Next step, yes, what are your thoughts on that after reading Smile ?

Cheers,
Caroline

Caroline is right to answer a post just hit the quote button . But then scroll to the bottom of the page and start writing after the last [/quote] then you post as normal and it will look like this Thumb

Yep as Caroline and Jim said, just hit the quote button on the bottom right hand side of the post you want to answer.

Welcome Linn!

It seems that dermatologists are always trying to start at the bottom and move up when it comes to treatment. I know that makes sense but it rarely seems to work. Hopefully you see some improvement and if not, you get on something soon that helps. There are a lot of choices out there and the great part about being here is that there is so much info and members willing to share their experiences. It can make things much easier when discussing options with your doctors on how to move forward. Best of luck!
