Welcome John! Glad you found your way here. As others have said, there is tons of info to be found on the forums and members willing to share information. It's great to be able to go to your doctor with an idea in mind of what you might want to try if given a choice. 13 years is quite a long time to wait to see if something is working so I think you're correct in moving on at this point.
