Thanks for the update Krug.
Very sad to here from the apparent final kidney failure of you husband. Luckily there is at least dialysis as a treatment available, perhaps they may find something additional. I would not know if kidneys have possibilities of recovery.

Would ik be possible to go back on Fumaderm?

I am very sorry for you. Psoriasis is a nasty disease and no treatment decision is easy or simple, especially for your husband with his many complicating illnesses. I hope Eric gets the best of care and responds well.

Best wishes,

Bill

Good point Caroline, I'm thinking if the kidney function is virtually non existent then there is no reason I can think why he shouldn't continue as long as post dialysis his bloods are good . But I'm sure the dermatologist will advise although he may be unsure himself

Yes I wondered about putting him back on Fumaderm too frankly but Dermo appointment on Tuesday 3rd so hopefully he will be home by then and can mention it. But there must be something else going on to. He is very confused and tells me he is not having dialysis and scans clear and coming home later. Ward sister says scan and blood tests not back yet and that he is very confused! She thinks they will not let him back until at least end of week. They do not seem to know what caused the sudden drop in function.....I dare not visit as he will be try to discharge himself and come home and I just cannot cope if he has 9% kidney function - they really need to get some of the function back. I think he is on a drip at the moment.
Forgive my 'black' sense of humour but I took him for lunch last week to get try to get him to eat. We were only out an hour as he did not eat his pan fried monkfish. I took it home and the cats dined on it and I drank most of the bottle of champagne that came home too. But he says that the food is very good at the hospital!!!!
Thanks for listening. I will just try to write a few notes when he goes to the dermo on Tuesday because hopefully I should know more about what is going on. I do not think they will offer dialysis until they have ruled out things such as tumours but could be wrong.

Perhaps  it was just a bad reading someone took and new tests have shown the function back up again .... Fingers crossed ... Thanks for keeping us updated Thumb

Sounds like the cats dined well and you enjoyed an evening of champagne  Big Grin hey you might have shared with us on here 15

Good luck with the dermatologist next week .... Hope you get a good outcome
