Welcome Dave.

Thirty-eight odd years. That trumps me. Have you only ever used topicals? Any arthritis? Topicals stopped working for me over a decade ago, and I used the strongest anti-psoriatic topical in existence. I wont tell you what it was, not because of any proprietary crap, but because it is downright dangerous. All natural too, by the way. I now take a synthetic systemic drug that costs me less than $20 a year, although if I count the stuff I take with it the cost would be a little over $60 a year. Absolutely brilliant and working as well as ever after four years.

Have a look at Belinda's thread if you want to see how rapidly modern treatments can work on both the skin and the arthritis. Dont be shy to post a few pics as well. My opinion is that if you have a serious illness you are wasting your time with topicals and should be under the care of a dermatologist.

Cheers,

Bill

No Bill, I haven't been using anything. I refuse to go down the drug system. Topicals I have found only work if you do use the 3 times a day and realistically speaking, who can lather thier body 3 times a day.
I have gone down the natural way now and am seeing results already, but it seems that the moderation on here does not look kindly on sharing things that work that aren't mainstream.

I disagree. We are proactive against scams and people selling, but to say we don't take kindly to sharing things that work but are not mainstream is wrong.

Bill's treatment certainly is not mainstream and you can read his thread here: Bill's pure dimethylfumarate thread

Also if you look through the Natural Treatments For Psoriasis board you will see many things that people have tried that definitely couldn't be classed as mainstream.

Our rules don't please everyone, and I have said you can contact me with the information as it may be something we will allow. I can't be fairer than that, but if you feel our rules are stopping you sharing something that isn't mainstream then Psoriasis Club may not be the place for you.

Fred.

That's not true we welcome sharing but won't tolerate links or promotion of products it's quite a good rule it stops self promotion and keeps quackery at bay, you will find many threads on here that speak of using natural products and diet and they are encouraged

Hi Dave,

That is nonsense. I am all for having as many effective treatments as possible, but it is often the case that touters of natural cures are often quite reluctant to provide any evidence. I am sure that if you provided good evidence for the efficacy of your therapy you would make an excellent impression here. If you have severe p with psa your principles will almost guarantee that you will damage your health. If you had untreated psa the unnecessary suffering that you would endure from useless treatments would be pitiable. Medical specialists have much more to offer.

Cheers,

Bill

The best part of this forum for me is that people share what works for them, it's not only information but it's encouraged as we are all looking for ways to help deal with psoriasis. As long as someone isn't claiming they've found the ever elusive "cure" or trying to promote a product then there isn't a problem with sharing that information and Fred is quite generous with listening if someone isn't certain about posting something.

We are all different and what works for some will not work for others and this forum has people who have tried just about every product out there. People here also are very good at researching treatments/statistics etc so sure if I come here and say eating oranges will cure psoriasis they will ask questions and want information that supports that, not just me saying so. Now if I say I think eating oranges has helped me then they'll ask questions and possibly wonder about my sanity. But if I say not only that oranges help but that I'm selling them or want to point them to the "psoriasis curing orange" website........then um no, that's not cool.

I like to hear what works for others, and most people here do as well. There's no problem with sharing as long as it's not promotional. What really makes this special is I don't have to go through tons of promotional posts or spam while I'm here as Fred takes care of all of that and that's just another best part about being here.
