Does anyone believe biological drugs have caused them to gain weight?

Cos I do.. it would be interesting to hear whether others feel the same. I've enjoyed lovely clear skin all this year but have got bigger - of course it could be unrelated but my weight generally stays about the same normally.

I voted No. I can't remember having any bio making me put weight on.

Giving up smoking was my biggest problem and that is when the Kilo's went on, but I've never noticed any difference in weight from any of the Bio's.

I'll add this to Psoriasis Club Polls  Thumb

Maybe?  5lbs/2kg.  Not much, but for me, I rarely fluctuate.  Then again, my diet hasn't been great...

Can I blame my weight gain on the Stelara ? Not the english breakfasts , chocolate , gin and all the other things I eat wrong !!!!

To be serious I have put weight on since I started on the Stelara .

That's the thing, I'm blaming it on the English breakfasts, chock bars etc etc - but I'm wondering if Stelara is responsible for a bigger appetite. The doc will always say if your medication makes you more hungry you just have to fight it. Well that's much easier to say than do..

Ha ha I was searching ‘enbrel weight gain’ and this came up - my own thread lol Rolleyes

Perhaps it’s just me and nothing to do with the meds. As an update on this thread, I have gained weight in recent weeks but that could well be the lockdown. I didn’t really exercise much, especially at the start as there were always too many other people about especially joggers who are quite happy to fog the air all around themselves with their huffy breathing.

Now I’m not so worried about going out so I’m walking more like I used to but I do think the council has been secretly adjusting the gradient of the hill going home as I get so puffed out! They have grand plans for getting everyone on bikes which I find amusing because it’s too hilly for me and probably quite a few others to realistically get about that way, even if I was able to stand the pain of sitting on a bike saddle (the arthritis in the region of my tailbone/ si joint makes it really unpleasant.

Plan is to return to stretches and exercises that I used to do regularly.
