They still use it.

The first time I had a flare I reached remission in a few months and it stayed fairly quiet for 7 years. Just a few spots here and there but no major outbreak.

The second and third flare did not react to UVB at all, so I am now on stelara, but I think it is worth it to try, it's definitely a time-consuming treatment, but also hardly any side-effects.

I would think the nhs would hopefully still have records of how much uvb you have had and whether you’d be ok to go again.

Hello Turned Light.

Yes your probably correct , the NHS may still have the records of my UV treatment back in the 1980's , but now I would not feel the need to have treatment for my psoriasis , I have had it so long since childhood that I don't think about it much these days , it is not a bad as when i was a child and only appears on small areas but as you know the itching drives me mad sometimes.

Sunlight is my best medicine for me so I use no treatments at all except for T-Gel on my scalp and Vaseline for my ears.

I have narrowband UVB therapy 3 times a week, my skin quack prescribes it in conjunction with other treatments.  I stop at the Dermatologists rooms get naked and stand in the light booth for a couple of minutes. in a strange sort of way I quite enjoy it..... Blush
