I got the call today that I will able to get Stelara. I'll get a call soon to set up the appointment. For some reason they will not let me self inject and said it would be done in the doctor's office, however, due to insurance (more on that later in another thread so as not to take this one off topic) it will be done at the hospital. The dermatologist will still do the follow ups and be the one primarily taking care of things.

I'm excited and a teeny bit nervous ( but not of the injection.) So, I'll be joining the Stelara Bandwagon soon and I'll post injection dates with reactions to them and progress made (or not) in this thread.

That's great Kat hopefully it will give you some relief from this terrible disease, it is exciting to be progressing onto a drug you don't need to take every day ....I do hope it works well for you Thumb
I will be pleased to read how it works for you
Good luck

I also don't get to put the shots myself, tho it looks dead easy.

Good luck Kat, if it wasn't for psoriatic arthritis I would class Stelara as the best ever treatment I've had.

They may let you inject yourself once you have had a few, but it's only one shot every 12 weeks so probably not a big deal for you to and get the shot.

Good luck, I hope it works for you! I’m just coming off Stelara after a year. Skin clearance was excellent (while it worked), I hope it works and keeps working for you.

Good luck!

I had my first shot last friday, didn’t feel a thing. Hope this treatment catches on because so far I think it’s the most easiest treatment.

Thanks!

Still haven't got a call yet, but things tend to run slowly when it involves the medical world.
